If you are considering implementing a data-based approach to weight loss and/or weight loss maintenance, this book provides insights into the six major behaviors of thousands of successful people who participate in this annual study. I found the study by the National Weight Control Registry at my local library over eight years ago, and the data forever changed my very obese life! The book highlights common behaviors related to being mindful, counting calories, eating a healthy diet, and exercising, but it’s not an overly complicated one-size-fits-all plan. It includes informative getting-started tips, and these suggestions can be implemented without investing in expensive diet programs or intimidating equipment.“Lose it Forever” also highlights six successful members of the study and shares their personal stories—from fat to fit—while describing their intimate journeys to become healthier. When I was approached to share my story for this book, I was excited to be featured, but I also really enjoyed reading about others’ experiences too.
